Professional, trustworthy, and reliable are just a few of the words that could describe a successful seller on EBay. These are certainly qualities that potential customers will look for whilst searching to buy.
We all know that price is a key factor as well, but with so many sellers with similar products at similar prices, how will you seperate yourself from the others? It is hard enough to get a customer to even look at your auction in the first place, can you really afford for them to leave your page to check out the competition afterwards?
A professional listing will give the customer the confidence not to search elsewhere. Think about it, where would you rather spend your money?

Here is an example of how design and branding can take an ordinary looking listing that could be anyone's, and turning it into a professional, structured page which gives customers a clear and confident message. Once designed these simply work as a template for your future listings. Just copy/paste the template code into your listing description and then amend the details that need changing (e.g. price, description). The design will be maintained around your changes and no knowledge of HTML is necessary as all changes can be made in the normal Ebay edit description page. Prices from as little as £399

Ask yourself, why did you open an Ebay shop? Was it because you wanted to offer a larger selection of products? Maybe because the listing fee for shop items is much cheaper? So you have the customer at your shop, job done right? Wrong! Your shop is your chance to sell other products that you have available, tell them more about you, subscribe to your newsletter, promote special offers, and at the very least be sufficiently impressed by the style and content to add you to their favourites lists for a further visit.
Ebay shops can now be customised to follow your branding. With free space for extra pages, you can really give customers a reason to stick around. Take a look at an example of what can be achieved here.

Email Newsletter
Probably the most under used tool in Ebay is the email marketing template. When someone signs up to your newsletter you are able to create a customised email to send them on a regular basis. This might be your newest items or even a one off special offer. These can be personalised and can really offer a great marketing tool to get potential customers to re-visit your shop.

Picture Hosting (free for customers using our designs)
With any custom designed shop or listing a number of images will need to be stored on a reliable server so that they are available when a user goes onto one of your pages. Ebay themselves offer to host these but at a rate of £4.99 p/month this will soon cut into the profits.
